They interrogated hundreds of people and scanned footage from over 700 CCTV cameras before they found links to the main accused Bharat Soni--an auto driver who allegedly picked up the 15-year-old survivor from the Ujjain railway station, raped her, and left her half-naked and bleeding.

An investigation has been launched against Seattle police union leaders after an officer was recorded on his body camera laughing and joking about an Indian-origin woman who was killed by a police patrol vehicle in January this year, the New York reported. Officer Daniel Auderer can be heard discussing the investigation into the accident involving graduate student Jaahnavi Kandula, killed by Police Officer Kevin Dave.

Nearly four months after a heritage cannon weighing around 250 kg went missing from the premises of the Gazetted Officers’ Mess of the Punjab Armed Police (PAP) in Chandigarh’s Sector 1. They apprehended three people, including a cook and a minor, for allegedly trying to sell it to scrap dealers, identified as Subham Sharma(23,) a constable with the 82nd Battalion of the PAP, and Sanjay Kumar(29,) a DJ from Kaimbwal.

The nine people killed in the blast at an illegal firecracker warehouse at Duttapukur in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district include the son of a terror accused currently serving judicial custody at one of the correctional homes in the state.
