Raipur: 6-Year-Old Girl Raped By Minor Boy, Case Registered

In another horrific incident, a six-year-old minor was raped in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Getting into the details, the incident occurred on September 28, when a 14-year-old minor boy, allegedly the neighbour of the victim raped the girl. ASP Lakhan Patle, who is investigating the case said, the minor accused has been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and a case is registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)

Mumbai: Man Kills Girlfriend After She Refuses Sexual Intimacy

Two youths named Akash Mukherjee and Lubna Sukte, both 28, were on a date in Mumbai. The date went tragic, as Akash tried killing his girlfriend after she refused to have sexual intimacy. Mukherjee was later arrested, the night after onlookers caught him and brought the matter to the police's attention. The incident took place at Bandra's Bandstand area. Armed Forces Can Take Disciplinary Action Against Adultery, Says SC

In a significant judgement, the Supreme Court clarified that its 2018 judgment striking down the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 497 (Adultery) will not have any impact on the court martial proceedings.  On January 31, the court said, the proceedings initiated against personnel serving in the armed forces for their adulterous conduct will be allowed as an offence. A five-judge bench, headed by Justice KM Joseph announced the decision.
