Apple Becomes World's First Company To Hit $3 Trillion In Market Value

Apple on January 3, became the world's first $3 trillion company. It has boosted the investors' confidence that they will keep launching iPhone products and explore new markets such as automatic cars and virtual reality. Apple shares were up and hit an all-time high of USD 182.88, surpassing USD 182.01. "It's a fantastic accomplishment and certainly worthy to be celebrated," said Jake Dollarhide, CEO of Longbow Asset Management.

Customer Orders iPhone 12; Flipkart Sends Nirama Soap

In a rare incident, Simranpal Singh resident of Chandigarh, who ordered iPhone 12 of Rs 51,999 from Flipkart, received two bars of Nirma soap in the box inside of the phone. Reportedly, the incident occurred when Singh asked the delivery person to open the box while recording the video of the incident. Subsequently, she raised the complaint with Flipkart. ''The issue was resolved...the whole amount was refunded,'' said Singh.

Apple Will Check iCloud Photo Uploads To Avoid Child Abuse Pictures

Apple Inc said it will enforce a system that administers photos on iPhones in the US before they are uploaded to its iCloud storage services. Apple aims to ensure no horrific images of child abuse are circulated. Reportedly, a database of such images will be recorded and will be translated to “hashes – numerical codes that positively identify the image but cannot be used to reconstruct them".

Google Tests FaceID, TouchID To Unlock Incognito Tabs In iPhones

To prevent others from snooping into your phone, Google is incorporating FaceID & TouchID in iPhones & iPads to unlock incognito tabs in Chrome. The feature is yet to be rolled out, however, it can be used on iOS devices as the experiment is live. The experimental feature works on the latest version of Google Chrome, and post-activation it will ask the user for either of the IDs.

Shortage of parts delays MacBook and iPad production

Shortages of computer chips, displays and display parts have made the production of MacBooks and iPads hit a snag. The Production has been postponed to a later date due to the shortage. As a result of the delay, Apple has now put back some part orders for two systems, from the first to the second half of this year. The production of iPhones has not been affected by this shortage.

Fearless and United Guards (FAU-G) is now obtainable for iOS users, with free downloads available on iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch through the Apple App Store. The 567.2 MB-sized Indian gaming app is compatible with only iOS 10 and successive operating systems and would track primary user data. Interestingly, FAU-G is tipped for a multiplayer Team Deathmatch mode, although developer nCore Games is yet to confirm the update.

Customs Seizes Over 200 iPhones Worth Rs 2.8 Cr At Bengaluru Airport

Customs officials on February 28 seized over 200 iPhones at Bangalore Airport from a couple arriving from Paris. WhatsApp To Cease Functions In Certain Devices From January 1

Tech-giant WhatsApp will cease its operations on certain iPhones and Android devices from January 1, 2021. As per WhatsApp FAQ, the application will run on phones whose operating systems are/advanced than Android 4.0.3 and iOS 9. Reportedly, Android devices such as HTC Desire, Motorola Droid Razr, and Samsung Galaxy S2 and iPhone series 4, 5 and 6 will not run the application. However, the app will continue functioning in KaiOS 2.5.1 OS.

Apple Pulls iOS App 'Vybe Together' Promoting Parties During COVID-19

Tech giant Apple has removed an iOS app 'Vybe Together' which encouraged underground parties during the pandemic. The app's TikTok account, which promoted weekend gatherings, was also removed.
