ISIS Terrorist Arrested For Plotting Attack On Independence Day: Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh's Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested alleged ISIS terrorist Sabauddin Azmi from Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh, on August 9. He was alleged of plotting a terror attack during Independence Day. Following his arrest, locals gathered near the house. Sabauddin's brother Salim said that "it is beyond understanding," as to how Azmi was linked to a terrorist organisation.

ISIS Claimed Grenade Attack In Afghanistan Gurdwara Amid Prophet Remark
The Islamic State's Khorasan Province (IS-KP) conducted an attack on a Gurdwara in Afghanistan, as a revenge attack against the BJP leader's remark against Prophet Mohammad. ISIS claimed the attack and "Saturday's attack targeted Hindus and Sikhs and the "apostates" who protected them in "an act of support for the Messenger of Allah". In the attack, two people died, whereas seven people were left injured.

ISIS Terrorists Attack Karte Parwan Gurdwara In Kabul: Afghanistan
In Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul, ISIS terrorists have been firing indiscriminately inside Karte Parwan Gurdwara, on June 18. Reportedly, Sikh Sangat is stuck inside and the number of casualties have not been revealed yet. Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area, and counter-terrorism motion is ongoing. Furthermore, an eyewitness stated that a security personnel was killed in the attack.

Death Threats Received To Gambhir Were From Pakistan, Say's Delhi Police
Former Indian cricketer and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) MP Gautam Gambhir received two e-mails threatening to be killed. According to the Delhi police, the emails were sent from the account handler identified as Sahid Hamid, from Pakistan. Following the threats, security has been beefed up outside Gambhir's residence. Moreover, senior officials of the police have also informed the cyber cell to further know the source of the email.

Senior Taliban Commander Killed In Kabul Hospital Attack
Hamdullah Mokhlis, a Taliban military commander in Kabul, was killed when his men responded to an Islamic state attack on a hospital on November 2. Reportedly, Afghanistan's new rulers, as soon as they learned that the hospital is under attack, retaliated by deploying their special forces on the roof of the building in a helicopter. The Taliban militant leader was killed in a face-to-face gunfight, said the Taliban's official.

60 Afghans Killed In Kabul Airport Blasts, ISIS Claims Responsibility
Terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the suicide bomb attacks at the gates of the Kabul airport on August 26 that killed at least 72 and injured 143. The US has confirmed that 13 US troops, including 12 Marine soldiers and one Navy medic were also killed. The attacks halted the airlift of the domestic and foreign nationals who were trying to flee Afghanistan.

US Forces To Leave Iraq By End Of 2021 Says US President Joe Biden
Following his talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa-al-Kadhimi, US President Joe Biden announced on July 26 that the US forces' mission will conclude and they will withdraw from Iraq by the end of 2021. However, the US troops will continue to train and advise the Iraqi military to its fight against ISIS (Islamic State Militant Group), Biden said. There are currently 2,500 US troops in Iraq.
