Abu Dhabi Allows Non-Muslim Civil Marriages Under New Law

Abu Dhabi on November 7 announced a new law, in which non-muslims will be allowed to marry, divorce, and get joint child custody. Reportedly, the UAE government followed the Islamic sharia principles, which have been changed in the view of maintaining its competitive edge as a regional commercial hub.
