Iran To Not Recognise Taliban Until All Ethnic Groups Are Included

Iran will not recognise the new Taliban government (Islamic Emirate) if it doesn't include all ethnic groups in the government, said Iranian Ambassador Bahadur Aminian, on January 2. ''We benevolently call on the Taliban rulers to form an inclusive government,'' added Aminian. However, the Taliban has stated that their government is based on its own national interests and that Iran is trying to interfere in Afghan affairs.

Taliban Prohibits Use Of Foreign Currency In Afghanistan; Announces Punishment

Taliban declared total ban on usage of foreign currency in the nation and threatened to punish anybody who violates the rule. In Afghanistan's marketplaces, US dollar is the most widely used means of exchange.
