The last two of six Palestinian terrorists who tunneled out of a maximum-security Israeli jail almost two weeks ago have been busted by Israeli troops on September 18. As per the officials, two members of the Islamic Jihad militant group were arrested from a residence in Jenin, a Palestinian city in the occupied West Bank. However, all six have either been convicted or are accused of deadly acts against Israelis.
Amid the tussle between Israel and Palestine, the Israeli military again managed to intercept a rocket fired by Palestinian militants on the night of September 12. Notably, the militants have been trying to attack Israeli forces as they captured four fugitives out of six who escaped from an Israeli jail last week. The tension is already high at the border area because Hamas doesn't want Israel's interfere in Gaza.

An unusual heatwave in late July swept across southern Europe causing heavy wildfire in many countries like Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, and many others. Greece and Turkey were the most affected regions with 568 wildfire incidents. Multiple suspected drone attacks were carried out on an Israeli-owned oil tanker in the Arabian Sea near Oman killing two crew members on board, including a British national. Israel has blamed Iran for the deadly attack on the tanker. Israel’s Supreme Court has legalized same-sex couples to have children through surrogacy and all the restrictions regarding the same to be lifted with six months' time. Through the years, the LGBTQ+ community has been fighting against the laws that barred them to pursue surrogacy. Blasts in Gaza echoed at around 1 AM, denoting that Israel launched its first strike since the coalition government emerged.
