Wipro Reports Declined Revenue In June Quarter, Profit At Rs 2,563 Crore

Wipro, an IT-major company reported a dip of revenue in its June quarter profit at Rs 2,563 crore, at 20.9%.  As per sources, for the quarter revenue rose to 17.9% , Rs 21,528.6 crore. Its operating margin in IT services segment decreased by 200 bps QoQ to 15%. With this, the consolidated total revenue of the Bengaluru-based Wipro is 15.51%. Furthermore, in terms of dollars, revenue is $2.7 billion.

TCS Recruits Over 14,000 People, To Reach 40,000-Person Objective

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) recruited 14,136 individuals on a net basis in the reporting quarter, but the business maintains it is on track to meet its 40,000-person objective this year. This comes after TCS failed its quarterly sales projection set by analysts. TCS stated that the company's delayed hiring in the quarter was due to surplus capacity built up during the previous year.

Infosys's Non-Compete Clause Unenforceable, Say Lawyers

The newly invoked non-compete clause by Infosys is not enforceable, according to several lawyers and recruiters. The clause prohibits new-comers from working on the same customer's projects across named rival companies for a certain phase of time since leaving the company. This move comes amid sky-high attrition. However, the IT giant has described this as a standard business practice, adding that it won't affect one's career growth.

Wipro Likely To Allow Employees Work From Office Soon

Indian multinational company Wipro is expected to allow its employees to work from the office, from September. Saurabh Govil, the Chief Human Resources Officer, stated that the decision would be implemented depending on the pandemic and the third wave, as well as on the speed of the vaccination drive. The company has vaccinated almost 35,000 employees under its premises.
