IT Dept Conducts Raids At 40 Premises, Detects Tax Evasion Amounting To Rs 400 Cr
The Income Tax department conducted raids at over 40 premises, in a case related to a business engaged in manufacture of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), hospitality, entertainment, etc. The raids were conducted in Villupuram, Chennai, Puducherry, Coimbatore and Hyderabad. IT Dept Raids Samajwadi Party MLC Pammi Jain's Premises In Uttar Pradesh
The Income-tax department on December 31, conducted a raid at Samajwadi Party MLC Pammi Jain's residence in Uttar Pradesh. "BJP's fear and anger is clear. People are ready to teach a lesson to BJP," tweeted Samajwadi Party. Further details are awaited. Earlier, the Directorate General of GST Intelligence conducted a raid at Piyush Jain's premises where they seized Rs 194.45 crore of cash, 23 kg gold, and 600 kg sandalwood.

I-T Dept Raids Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar's Sister Premises
The I-T Department, on October 7, raided businesses linked to Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and properties of his family members, reportedly on charges of alleged tax evasion. Premises linked to three of Pawar's sisters were raided, as were those linked to some real estate developers. Confirming the developments, Pawar said his family was being targeted because of "political vendetta."
