Woman Arrested For Child Trafficking In Arunachal Pradesh’s Itanagar; 4-Month-Old Baby Rescued

In Arunachal Pradesh’s Itanagar, the police along with ChildLine service, arrested a woman for her alleged involvement in child trafficking. The police also rescued a 4-month-old infant from her. The woman has been identified as Anu Wangsa, who was also in the year 2021, on charges of drug possession. The arrest has come after receiving complaint from a female drug addict.

Itanagar-Hollongi Highway Landslide Causes Connectivity Issues: Arunachal Pradesh

In Itanagar, a massive landslide blocked an arterial road, resulting in a massive traffic jam and causing trouble to people stranded with their vehicles. On June 21, due to the landslide, Itanagar-Hollongi near Chimphu,  at 10:30 am. The administration started work to clear the debris, which is likely to be finished in a couple of days, leaving stranded vehicles and people with no choice but to stay nearby.

Arunachal Pradesh Landslide Kills 2 People, Traps 1, Says Police

In Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, two people died after their house was hit by a massive landslide and a woman is still trapped in the bamboo house, which crashed on May 15 night, after landslide. SP Jimmy Chiram said, while two bodies have been retrieved from the debris, the "fate of the woman is yet to be known". Furthermore, the deceased have been identified as Nagen Barman (50) and Tapas Rai (15).

Sub-Inspector Found Dead, Throat Cut At Quarters: Itanagar

Sibu George (55), a sub-inspector, was found dead at his quarters, in Itanagar, on April 1. George, who was a native of Kerala, was reportedly found with cut wounds on his neck. Soon after the body was found, IGP Chukha Apa and other senior officials reached the spot. A case has been reportedly registered in the Chimpu police station for the charges of murder. Further details are awaited.
