Banerjee, Islam & Hossain To Take Oath As MLAs After Winning By-Polls: West Bengal
Mamata Banerjee, Amirul Islam and Jakir Hossain will take oath as MLAs on October 7, after winning the recent by-polls. The Election Commission of India stated that Banerjee secured a total of 85,263 votes. BJP's Priyanka Tibrewal secured 26,428 votes and CPI's Srijib Biswas secured 4,226 votes. According to the data, 71.90 voters have voted for Banerjee. The oath will be administered by West Bengal's Governor, Jagdeep Dhankar.

Bengal CID Arrests Bangladeshi National In Nimtita Bomb Blast Case
A Bangladeshi national, accused of involvement in Murshidabad's Nimtita railway station blast, was arrested by West Bengal CID on February 24.
