SC Allows Jallikattu Festival Celebration In Tamil Nadu

The Supreme Court upheld the Tamil Nadu legislation that allows Jallikattu event, a cultural festival celebrated in the southern state. The Apex Court bench of five judges comprising Justice KM Joseph said that bull-taming sport is part of “cultural heritage” and passed a unanimous verdict. The court said it is satisfied based on the materials put before it that Jallikittu is being practised in Tamil Nadu for a long time.

Madurai's 16 Yr Old Girl Sneha To Release Bull At Jallikattu Sport: Tamil Nadu

A 16-year-old Sneha from Vadivasal will reportedly release her bull in the famous Jallikattu sport. Training a bull for Jallikattu is a difficult job but Sneha single-handedly takes care of a full-grown bull named Ariyamalai. “I was inspired by the Jallikattu protest. Since then, I’ve been taking care of the bull,” said Sneha. The girl takes care of the bull twice a week, and the bull reportedly listens to her.

2nd Day Jallikattu Competition Underway In Tamil Nadu's Palamedu Area

Jallikattu Begins At Avaniyapuram Village In Madurai: Tamil Nadu
