India & Jamaica Continue To Enjoy Cordial, Friendly Relations: President Kovind

President Kovind is on his four-day visit to Jamaica. Speaking at an event, he said that India and Jamaica continue to enjoy cordial and friendly relations based on shared democratic values, common linkages of history, membership of the commonwealth, use of the English language, and the love of cricket. India reached out with 'Made in India' Covid-19 vaccines to Jamaica in March 2021 under Indian government's 'Vaccine Maitri' initiative.

President Kovind Meets Governor-General Of Jamaica, To Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

On a state visit to Jamaica and St Vincent and the Grenadines, President Ram Nath Kovind met the Governor-General of Jamaica Patrick Allen. The duo discussed bilateral cooperation in IT, medical, sports, education, tourism, and hospitality industries. This is the first visit by the President of India to these two countries. An MOU in the field of sports cooperation between the two countries is in the final stages.

Chris Gayle Debunks Retirement Rumours; Wants Last Match In Jamaica

Ending all the speculations about his retirement, popular West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle clarified saying he has no plan to get retirement from international cricket. Gayle added that he wants to play another T20 World Cup. On his gesture of retirement, Gayle said, ''I was just having some fun... with the fans in the stand.'' However, Gayle also said he wants to play his last game in Jamaica.
