Jeddah To Host Saudi Arabia's First Ever Grand Prix
Saudi Arabia is planning to host the country's first-ever Formula One Grand Prix in the year 2021. The race is set to be held in the streets of Jeddah. The authorities have come up with a draft calendar for 2021. Though nothing is finalised yet, speculations suggest that Saudi could be paired with round in Abu Dhabi. The Grand Prix might act as a factor to erase the country's record on human rights.

UNHRC Awards Seats To China, Russia And Cuba; Refuses Saudi Arabia

Jamal Khashoggi's Killing: Saudi Court's Verdict Receives Backlash
On September 7, Saudi court sentenced eight persons to imprisonment up to 20 years, for Journalist Jamal Khashoggi's murder. The decision came four months after the family pardoned the killers and asked to set aside the capital punishment. However, his fiancée Cengiz condemned the decision saying, "the Saudi authorities are closing the case without the world knowing the truth". UN special rapporteur called it, "Mockery of Justice".

Khashoggi Killing: Saudi Court Revokes Death Sentence
On September 7, Riyadh criminal court revoked death punishments and sentenced imprisonment to eight unidentified accused in journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s killing.
