Heroin and Charas Worth Crores Recovered In J&K

Three suspected drug dealers were arrested during two operations in Poonch and Rajouri district of J&K, on June 13. The charas was recovered when police intercepted a private vehicle at the Darhali Bridge. In a separate operation, two kilograms of heroin were recovered from a forest area near Bagyaldara village. Police have filed a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and investigations are underway.

Earthquake Of 5.4 Magnitude Witnessed In J&K, Delhi

Tremors were felt in Delhi and parts of north India after a 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit Jammu and Kashmir this afternoon. The earthquake that struck moments after 1:30 pm on June 13,  lasted for a few seconds, with no damage yet. "Earthquake of Magnitude: 5.4, Occurred on 13-06-2023, 13:33:42 IST, Lat: 33.15 & Long: 75.82, Depth: 6 Km, Location: Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, India," tweeted National Center for Seismology.

J&K: Tragic Accident Kills 7 People, Leaves 1 Critically Injured

In Jammu & Kashmir's Kishtwar region, a tragic accident was reported, resulting in killing of seven people and leaving one seriously injured. J&K: 2 Terrorists Killed In Encounter In Kupwara

Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter broke out near Pichnad Machil area of Kupwara district in north Kashmir, confirmed a police official.  The terrorists have been killed and the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.  Furthermore, the encounter and search is still going on and identities of the terrorists are unknown.

Kashmiri Pandit Attacked By Terrorists In Pulwama Region: J&K

In another attack on Kashmir Pandit incident, a bank security guard named Sanjay Sharma was shot dead. On February 26, terrorists fired upon him, leaving him critically wounded.  He was admitted to a hospital in Pulwama but succumbed to his injuries, confirmed a senior police official. The deceased belonged to a minority group and has been identified as Sanjay Sharma, son of Kashinath Sharma, who worked at bank for 40-years.

Kashmiri Pandit Succumbed To Injuries In Targeted Attack: Jammu & Kashmir

In another incident of targetted attack, a Kashmiri Pandit was shot dead in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian area said reports.  The victim was identified as Puran Krishan Bhat, son of Tarak Nath Bhat and was a resident of Choudry Gund in the town. Notably, on October 15, Puran Krishan Bhat succumbed to injuries, confirmed sources. Furthermore, the officials said that the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
