Anantnag Encounter Enter Day 7, Jammu & Kashmir Police Retrieved Another Body
The Anantnag encounter, which can be considered one of the longest, has entered Day 7, on September 19. Security forces believe around one to two terrorists are still trapped while a charred body of one of the terrorists, was retrieved in the morning. Samples have been collected for DNA testing as another body, which was also recovered from the spot, can be of army personnel, identified as Pradeep.

Jammu & kashmir Encounter: Army Colonel, Major & Kashmir Police Deputy SP Succumb To Injuries
Three security force officers including an Army Colonel were killed in a gunfight with terrorists in the Kokernag area of Kashmir's Anantnag district, officials said here on September 13. SC Hears J&K Bifurcation, Article 370, Questions Centre
The Supreme Court reviewed plea challenging the Jammu and Kashmir bifurcation. The Supreme Court pointed out yesterday, questioning the need for bifurcation of the border state in August 2019. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud also questioned how to ensure that the power to bifurcate a state will not be "misused" once it is conceded to the Central government, a point of discussion into the matter.

CRPF Jawan Found In Pool Of Blood, Police Suspect Suicide: Jammu & Kashmir
The dead body of a CRPF jawan was found in a village in the Pulwama district in the wee hours of Saturday. "A jawan of F 112 BN CRPF, Ct/Sepoy Ajay Kumar was found dead in a pool of blood, on the intervening night of 11th and 12th August at around 1.55 am after gunshots were heard near SAIL Chersoo. The apparent cause of death is suicide," confirmed Police.

Amarnath Yatris Data, Over 67,000 Pilgrims Visited Till July 5
Since the start of the Amarnath Yatra on July 1, a total of 67,566 pilgrims visited the Amarnath Shrine. The data was revealed by the Amarnath Committee Officials, who made elaborate arrangements including RTO, Police, Paramilitary, Medical officials and others. In addition, the Amarnath Shrine data is still underway and more pilgrims are registered to visit the temple, in the next two months and will end on August 31.
