Jammu-Srinagar Highway Closed For Vehicular Movement Amid Landslide
Jammu-Srinagar national highway was closed for the fourth consecutive day on June 24, amid blasting boulders blocking roads due to landslides, mudslides and shooting stones. Approximately 33 places in Ramban and Udhampur districts witnessed heavy rains, resulting in traffic issues and the closure of highways. Jammu-Srinagar Highway Blocked Due To Heavy Rainfall & Landslides: J&K
Following landslides at several places in J&K, the Jammu-Srinagar highway was blocked for traffic movement, on June 22. Around 3,000 vehicles were stranded in the highway. The government stated that only the stranded vehicles will be allowed to move, once the road is cleared. Also, new vehicles will not be allowed. Besides, various other highways were also blocked due to constant rainfall and shooting of stones, as a result.

Jammu & Kashmir National Highway Blocked Amid Shooting Stones: Panthayal
Jammu and Kashmir traffic police on March 5, informed that due to shooting stones at Panthayal, the roads have been blocked on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
