Jantar Mantar Protest Against WFI Chairman Brij Bhushan Continues

The wrestler's protest against the Wrestler Federation of India (WFI) Chairman Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, over allegations of sexual assault continues at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. Calling out on powerful people, wrestler Vinesh Phogat said, "It is very difficult to stand against a person who is misusing his power and position for so long." She further took a dig at Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, who promised but didn't take action.

K Kavitha To Hold 12 Hour Long Hunger Strike In Delhi

Senior BRS leader and Nizamabad MLC K Kavitha is set to hold 12 hours, hunger strike in Delhi. The strike on March 10, is in the view of the demand of 'introduction of Women's Reservation Bill' in Parliament. Delhi Incident Accused Pinky Chaudhary Sent Under Judicial Custody

In response to the communal slogans at Delhi's Jantar Mantar's incident, Hindu Raksha Dal President Bhupinder Tomar aka Pinky Chaudhary has been sent under judicial custody till September 17. Chaudhary is one of the main suspects of the Jantar Mantar incident. However, while being surrounded by his hundreds of followers, Chaudhary surrendered before the Delhi Police at the Mandir Marg police station.

Delhi Police Detain Alleged President Of 'Hindu Force': Jantar Mantar

Delhi police have arrested Deepak Singh Hindu from his house on August 9 for allegedly raising inflammatory and anti-Muslim slogans at Jantar Mantar on August 8. He claimed to be the president of a "Hindu Force". Supposedly, former BJP spokesperson Ashwini Upadhyay, who was detained as well, had called for the protest against "Colonial-era laws". "Police are questioning Deepak about others at the event,” an SPO stated.

Delhi to witness farmers' protest at Jantar Mantar starting July 22 from 11 am to 5 pm amid the ongoing parliament Monsoon session. However, only 200 people have been allowed for demonstration and are required to strictly follow Covid-19 protocols. Farmer leader Darshan Pal Singh said, “Farmers will hold 'Kisan Sansad' at Parliament street. We will discuss the agrarian crisis, three farm laws, and MSP."
