9 People Found From Missing Japan Tour Boat, Says Coast Guard
Nine people from the Japanese tour boat, which recently went missing with 26 people on board, have finally been found. The people were rescued near the tip of Cape Shiretoko. While four were found in an unconscious state, the details about the rest are still awaited. Reportedly, there were as many as 24 passengers and two crew members on board when the boat went missing. Rescue operations are still underway.

Russia & China Hold Joint Naval Drills In Japanese Sea
Moscow and Beijing have cultivated closer military and diplomatic ties even when their relation with the west have soured. The combined forces are practising "shooting targets" designed to imitate enemy surface ships, and held air defence drills near Japan Shores. "The task of the patrols demonstrating Russian and Chinese flags was to show peace and stability between the two countries", said Russia's Defence Minister in a statement.

Atleast 38 Dolphins Carcasses Found on Mauritius Beach After the Oil Spill
Atleast 38 dolphins have died till August 28 on the island of Mauritius near the oil spill site. The spill was caused by a Japanese ship, MV Wakashio, that hit a coral reef on July 25, and started leaking oil after a week. A government official from the Fisheries Ministry, Jasvin Sok Appadu, said, "I can confirm we have so far found the carcasses of 38 dolphins."
