Roger Binny Is Likely To Take Over As BCCI President
Roger Binny, 1983 World Cup Hero is likely to take over as the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) President. On October 11, the BCCI held a meeting in Mumbai, which came ahead of the AGC meeting scheduled to discuss major steps to be taken in the BCCI. Moreover, Sourav Ganguly is likely to leave the BCCI president position, Jay Shah will continue as the BCCI Secretary.

BCCI President Ganguly And Secretary Jay Shah To Continue Another Term
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced an extended term of President Sourav Ganguly and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. On September 14, the Supreme Court allowed the BCCI to make amendments in their constitution in terms of positions. With the approval of the Top Court, Sourav Ganguly and Jay Shah will continue their terms for one more time, for the next three years.

SC Reviews Plea Seeking Extension Of BCCI Administrators' Tenure, Adjourns For July 20
The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the Board of Control for Cricket in India's plea, seeking an extension of the tenures of Sourav Ganguly as BCCI President and Jay Shah as Secretary. Furthermore, in the petition, the BCCI also requested to make amendments to the constitutional rule that BCCI administrators need to have three-years cooling-down period after serving for six-years. The SC listed the matter for July 20.

KL Rahul To Skip England Tour Due To Groin Injury, Will Fly To Germany
Indian skipper KL Rahul is to miss the upcoming England Tour, as he will be traveling to Germany for the treatment of his groin injury. The development was confirmed by the BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said, "The board is working on his fitness and he will be going to Germany soon." Rahul suffered groin injury during training, following which he was ruled out of five-match series, from July 1.

Jay Shah’s Term As Asian Cricket Council President Extended
BCCI secretary Jay Shah’s term as the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) was unanimously extended by a year to the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), on March 19. "We remain committed to ensuring the all-round development of cricket, especially in women's cricket and the tournaments the ACC conducts in the region," stated Shah. Notably, Shah had taken the charge of president of the ACC in January 2021.

Indian Skipper Virat Kohli's 100th Test match against Sri Lanka will be open for public, confirmed BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. On March 1, the BCCI said, test series against Sri Lanka, starting from March 4, at Punjab Cricket Stadium in Mohali, will have spectators. India To Tour South Africa For 3 Tests, 3 ODIs: BCCI Secretary Jay Shah
India would tour South Africa for three-Test and three ODIs matches, informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah on December 4. He further said the other four T20Is which were also part of the tour will be played later. "BCCI has confirmed CSA that the Indian team will travel for three-Tests and three ODIs," Shah told ANI.

Indian Women Cricket Team To Play 1st Day-Night Test Against Aussies
BCCI secretary Jay Shah on May 20 announced that the Indian women’s cricket team will play its maiden pink-ball Test later this year against Australia. Sharing the news on Twitter, Shah cited the move as a part of the BCCI’s "commitment towards women’s cricket”. Notably, India’s maiden pink-ball Test against Australia will be the second such game to be played in the women’s cricket history.
