September 3: Third Day of JEE Mains Witnesses Above 80% Attendance
Union Education Ministry stated that 82.14% of the total students registered attended JEE on September 3. Reportedly, more than 1.4 lakh aspirants appeared on day 3 of the exam. The first day of the JEE, held on September 1, witnessed 61,366 (54.67%) students taking up the exam; this rose to 1,41,372 (81.80%) on September 2. NTA Makes Special Arrangements to Conduct JEE, NEET 2020
The National Testing Agency has created a detailed protocol for conducting JEE and NEET in the view of the pandemic. According to the NTA, special arrangements have been made to conduct the exams while ensuring health safety guidelines. It said that additional Rs 13 crore was spent for arranging masks, gloves, infrared thermometers, hand sanitizer and other safety equipment. Odisha Govt: NEET And JEE Exam Cities To Remain Unlocked
The Odisha Government on August 29, declared that there would be no lockdown or shutdown enforcement in the cities conducting the NEET and JEE exams from August 30 to September 7 and from September 12 to 14. In an order issued by the Odisha Government, it has been issued that all the safety protocols regarding COVID-19 like social distancing and wearing masks would be ensured at the examination centres.
