UP To Get 5th International Airport; Highest Among Indian States
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Noida International Airport, in Uttar Pradesh's Jewar on November 25. This will become the fifth International Airport of UP, making it the only state in India with five international airports. The Kushinagar Airport was recently inaugurated by PM Modi and the Ayodhya Airport will be ready by 2022. UP already has international airports in Lucknow and Varanasi.

Noida Airport: UP Government and Zurich International Airport Sign Agreement
Noida Airport is set for construction in Jewar as Uttar Pradesh Government has signed an agreement with the Zurich International Airport on October 7. Planned on a budget of Rs 4500 crore, the first phase will be constructed across 1334 hectares in three years time. “We will work with the local construction partners to build it but we will be the main investor at the moment,” said Zurich Airport CEO Daniel Bircher.

Uttar Pradesh: Jewar Airport Gets Security And Environment Clearances
The Jewar Airport, to be built in Gautam Buddh Nagar, has received the environment and security clearances. Yamuna Authority CEO Dr Arun Veer Singh said all the formal processes had been completed and the concession agreement is expected to be signed by the second week of October. Reportedly, the first phase of the project will cost Rs 4,588 crore; and the airport may start functioning by 2023.
