4-Month-Old Baby Elephant Rescued From Well In West Bengal
The West Bengal forest department on January 26 rescued a four-month-old baby elephant trapped in a well in Jhargram district. However, it took over two-and-a-half-hours to rescue and unite the jumbo with its mother. Reportedly, the animal had fallen into the well while crossing the area with its large herd. Upon noticing, the locals called the forest officials who dug an adjacent well with an earthmover to rescue the elephant calf.
