Jharkhand: 5 Naxals Killed In Encounter Between Naxals & Police

In Jharkhand, an encounter broke out between Naxals and the State police, resulting in the death of five Naxals. The encounter broke out between the police and naxals, who has bounties of Rs 5 Lakhs and reward prize of Rs 25 lakhs. Furthermore, the police also arrested three naxals, identified as Suman Singh Anchala (42,) Sanjay Kumar Usendi (27) and Parasram Dhangul (55.) This is a developing story, details awaited.

Jharkhand Police Seizes 34 Gm Brown Sugar, Arrested 1

In Jharkhand's Deoghar district, brown sugar worth lakhs of rupees was seized from a possession, confirmed police on August 18. The arrest was made on a tip-off, following which the police nabbed the accused, identified as Lalo Miyan, near Kuraiwa forest in Mohanpur Police Station area. They seized 34 gm of brown sugar from his possession. Furthermore, the Deoghar SDPO Pawan Kumar said, the accused was a wanted criminal.

3 'PLFI' Naxals Including 1 Minor Arrested In Jharkhand

A minor boy and two other Naxals belonging to the banned People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) was arrested in Khunti Jharkhand, confirmed police on January 17. Reportedly, the police arrested them in Rangrodi village. As per police, two adult Naxals Vishram Kongadi & Kulen Kongadi were wanted in several criminal cases. Jharkhand Police Recover 25 Tiffin Bombs, Cane Bombs

Acting on a tip-off, Jharkhand police recovered 25 tiffin bombs and cane bombs in a forest from Latehar district, on December 24. A bomb disposal squad also went with the police personnel and defused the explosives, as per ETV Bharat. However, a search operation is underway in the forest to arrest those who are involved in the wrongdoing.

Four Held On Charges Of Gang-Rape Of Minor Girl In Jharkhand

In Jharkhand's Rachi, a 13-year-old girl was brutally gang-raped by seven men on August 26. Reportedly, the incident took place when the victim went to meet a minor-accused friend who was waiting with the other six accused. SP Naushad Alma said that they registered a case against the men and arrested four minor accused. However, two accused are on the run.

Naxal Maoist Ramesh Ganju Arrested In Jharkhand

Security Forces and Jharkhand Police during a joint operation on the evening of August 19 captured one of the most notorious and wanted Naxal Maoist Ramesh Ganju. Ganju is responsible for killing at least 30 police officers in the last 30 years. Nearly 45 cases have been registered in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand in the past years with a reward of Rs 15 lakh on his head.

Two Held For Possessing Beef In Jharkhand

Two were held by the Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district police for possessing 500 kg of beef on August 10. Reportedly, both the accused were caught when they were traveling from Bistupur to Dhatkidih carrying beef and were charged under the Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005. Police also seized Rs 40,000 in cash. Meanwhile, the slaughter of Bovine animals is banned in Jharkhand.
