FIR Against BJP Leader For Using Derogatory Remarks Against Jharkhand CM, His Family

An FIR has been registered against Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi at Kanke police station in Ranchi for allegedly making defamatory remarks against the Soren family, including Chief Minister Hemant Soren. According to sources, The FIR was registered on August 23, on the complaint of one Sonu Tirkey, who alleged that in a Facebook post, the BJP member Babulal used derogatory remark against CM Soren and his family.

Man Vandalises Hanuman Idol In Ranchi; Arrested

A man in Ranchi has been arrested for allegedly vandalising an idol of Hanuman inside a temple on Ranchi’s main road. The arrest was reportedly made based on CCTV footage and eye witnesses. According to the police, the atmosphere became tense soon after the incident. Family Of 4 Thrashed, Forced To Eat Human Excreta For Practising Witchcraft: Jharkhand

In Jharkhand’s Dumka, four members of a family, including three women, were allegedly forced to consume human excreta, in a suspicion that the family was practising witchcraft. The incident occurred in Aswari village, and according to the police, the family was also tortured with a hit iron rod. The police further stated that the women were brutally thrashed and have been shifted to Saraiyahat Community Health Centre for treatment.

Ranchi Violence: Chargesheet Filed Against 11 Accused By Jharkhand CID

In the ongoing Ranchi violence case, Chargesheet has been filed against 11 accused by Jharkhand Crime Investigation Department (CID), informed officials on September 10. Reportedly, the incident took place on June 10, and an FIR was filed at the Daily market police station. As per NHRC guidelines, the case was transferred to CID in the last week of June.

Teachers Tied To Tree, Beaten Up By Students For Giving Poor Marks: Jharkhand

In Jharkhand’s Dumka, a group of students after failing in the exams, tied the teachers to a tree and beat them up, for giving them poor marks. An FIR has been filed against 11 students and a headmaster. According to the complaint, the headmaster allegedly gave the instructions to the students to carry out the act.  The attack was carried out after the students invited the teachers for a meeting.

The cases have been reported form three districts, which are Bokaro, Ranchi and Giridih. The health department further stated that officials in the state are on high alert, and are ready to take measures to control the spread of Swine Flu. Further details on the matter are awaited.

Jharkhand Girl Who Was Set Ablaze Succumbed To Burn Injuries, Accused Arrested

In Jharkhand, class 12 student Ankita Kumari, who was allegedly set ablaze by Shahrukh, succumbed to her injuries in Dumka district, on August 28. The accused, who committed the crime amid unrequited love, has been arrested, confirmed the Dumka Superintendent of Police Ambar Ladka. "We will apply at fast track court for a fast trial. People are cooperating with us", said SP Lakda. Furthermore, CrPC Section 144  has been imposed.
