Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport Receives 'Fake' Bomb Threat: Jharkhand
The Birsa Munda Airport in Jharkhand's Ranchi received a bomb threat from an unknown person on July 28. The security officials upon receiving the threat, conducted a thorough search, and found nothing suspicious. The airport then declared the threat, a "hoax". Woman Constable, Mother & Daughter Found Dead In Police Quarters: Jamshedpur
In Jharkhand's Jamshedpur, bodies of a woman constable, her mother and daughter were found at police lines quarters, on July 22. Reportedly, the officer was not seen for the past two days. According to the police, the door of the house was locked from the outside. Meanwhile, forensic team reached the spot and an investigation on the matter is underway.

Female Cop Mailed To Death By Vehicle In Jharkhand's Ranchi
Sandhya Topno, a female Sub-Inspector of police in Jharkhand's Ranchi, was allegedly mauled to death during a vehicle check. According to Ranchi's Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kaushal Kishore, Topno after recieving information of a vehicle transporting cattles, tried to intercept it. The driver deliberately dashed her, and she was declared dead in the hospital. Reportedly, the vehicle has been seized, and the driver is arrested.

News 11 Owner Arrested For Money Extortion & Blackmailing Businessman: Jharkhand
Arup Chatterjee, owner of News 11 channel, has been arrested on July 16, for charges of money extortion from a businessman. News 11 is a regional Hindi new channel in Jharkhand. He has also been charged for blackmailing and criminal conspiracy. Businessman Rakesh alleged that Chatterjee published fake news against Rakesh, and demanded Rs 11 lakh to take it down. Reportedly, Rakesh paid Rs 6 lakh, but threatening continued.

Land Dispute Kills 3 People In Jharkhand's Garhwa Region, Police Registers Case
In Jharkhand's Garhwa district, three people were killed in an incident related to a land dispute, confirmed police on June 23. The deceased were identified as Krishna Paswan (28) and Santosh Chandravanshi (30.) The police suspected it to be a revenge murder over a land dispute after the victims shot dead 26-year-old Vimal Kumar Singh. In addition, the police registered a case and launched an investigation.

2 Shot Dead During Manda Puja Celebrations In Ranchi: Jharkhand
Suraj Sahu (24) and Abhay Sahu (23) were shot dead in Jharkhand's Ranchi, while an orchestra was underway during Manda Puja, on June 1. The incident occurred at around 3 am, as a result of a quarrel that broke out between two groups. The firing also caused another person to be injured, who is currently undergoing treatment. Jharkhand To Receive WHO's No Tobacco Award 22 In Delhi
Jharkhand has been named for the World Health Organization (WHO)'s World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) Award-2022 Award. On May 29, a government official confirmed it and said the Stata Tobacco Control Cell under the Health Department will receive the award. The ceremony will be held in New Delhi on May 31, World No Tobacco Day. NTPC Nodal Officer Lalit Ranjan Pathak lauded the Jharkhand government for the achievement.
