Kashmir Valley Reports Flood Like Situation Amid Continuous Rainfall
Heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir could lead to flood-like situation in the Kashmir valleys, as most of the water bodies are having rise in water level. On June 22, the concerned authorities said, after the continuous rainfall for the past four days Jhelum river crossed the flood alarm mark at Sangam in Anantnag. In regard to this, the authorities started moving people from low-lying areas to safer locations.

Luxury Boat Imported To Bring Tourism Back To Life On Jhelum River
The J&K Government has imported a 30 seater luxury 'boat bus' to revive water transportation on the Jhelum river. The boat bus is on its trial stage between Lasjan and Chattbal Weir in Kashmir. Sukhnag Enterprises, a marine equipment supplier, has also commissioned a 10-12 seater luxury pontoon boat and a 14-seater rescue boat. Mac, a Newzealand based company is supplying the boat to the J&K.
