PM Modi Officially Launches 5G Services
PM Modi inaugurated the 6th India Mobile Congress at Pragati Maidan in Delhi, and launched officially launched 5G services on October 1. In the event, three major telecom operators demonstrated the potential of 5G services in India, in front of PM Modi. The operators also demonstrated that 5G services will help in precision drone farming, high-security routers, AI based cyber threat detection platforms, automated guided vehicles and more.
India To Roll Out 5G Services By Oct 12: Ashwini Vaishnaw
Union Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, said that India will most likely roll out 5G services by October 12. He also said that, after 5G’s roll out, it is expected to reach every part of the country within two to three years. He also said that it is significant to make 5G services affordable. The 5G roll out has been in works for years.

Airtel CEO Gopal Vittal Claims Airtel 5G Services To Launch By August End
Bharti Airtel CEO Gopal Mittal said Airtel 5G services would be available in India by August end. Exact costs of 5G plans are yet to be released. Jio 5G Speed Test Results Leaked; Download, Upload Speed & More
The 5G network will be available by late 2022. Jio has stated that they have planned out the 5G coverage for 1000 top cities in the country. According to a leaked screenshot shared by 91Mobiles, Jio 5G which is at the testing stage, hit a download speed of 420 Mbps and an upload speed of 414 Mbps. With that speed, a two hour-long video can be downloaded in minutes.

Rolling Out 5G Should Be National Priority: Mukesh Ambani
Mukesh Ambani, MD of the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), on December 8, said, "Roll out of 5g in India should be a national priority." Jio Plans To Build Largest Global Submarine Cable Network
