Women Witness Income Loss Of $800 Billion In 2020: Oxfam Report
As per an Oxfam International report, women in 202 have lost income to the tune of about $800 billion due to the pandemic. Shockingly, the amount is equivalent to the cumulative GDP of 98 countries. Karnataka: 4,000 People Lost Jobs In 3 Years Due to Industries Closing Down
Karnataka government's data has indicated that 31 large and medium industries in the state have closed down in the last three years. The data revealed this has caused over 4,000 people losing job. Reportedly, 19 out of the 31 industries belonged to northern Karnataka. However, Karnataka Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar said that the industries had their own reason to close and it has no connection with the state policies.
