Taking to his official X handle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 8, confirmed his meetings with Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and US President Joe Biden. PM Narendra Modi is set to meet US President Joe Biden at his residence, where the two leaders will hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the G20 Summit. In total, PM will hold 14 bilateral meetings.

US President Joe Biden has reacted to the death of Wagner chief, protesting against Russian President Vladimir Putin. On August 24, Biden pointed a finger at his Russian counterpart after reports of Yevgeny Prigozhin's death amongst others in a private plane crash in Moscow's Tver region. "I don't know for a fact, but I'm not surprised. There's not much that happens in Russia that Putin's not behind," said Biden.

In good news to Indians awaiting citizenship in the United States, the Joe Biden administration announced to ease norms for a green card. On June 16, the Biden administration has eased norms by releasing policy guidance on the eligibility criteria for those waiting for green cards to work and stay in America. The move came days ahead of PM Narendra Modi's visit to the US, starting from June 21-23.

US Vice President Kamala Harris has more income than US President Joe Biden from book royalties, said a White House source, disclosing their financial books. The US President earned between $2,500 and $5,000 in book royalties in 2022, down sharply from $30,000 a year earlier. He also earned less than $3,000 in "speaking and writing engagements," down from close to $30,000 last year, confirmed the White House source.
