CJI Ramana Talks About Reopening Courts After Dussehra
Newly elected Chief Justice of India NV Ramana is envisaging to reopen the court after Dussehra vacation if there is "zero threat" of COVID-19.While attending felicitation ceremony, Justice Ramana said, "We are ready to reopen courts even in the pandemic time. But the majority of advocates were avoiding physical reopening". "We are separated with glass but lawyers and other staffs could be in Jeopardy", he added.

CJI NV Ramana Calls For 50% Reservation For Women In Judiciary
NV Ramana, Chief Justice of India on September 26, called for a 50% reservation for women in the judiciary and wished to have the same in law colleges. "We need 50% reservation for women in judiciary. It is an issue of thousands of years of oppression," he said. Records show that less than 30% of women constitute the lower judiciary while it is 11% for higher levels.

'We Will Pass Order On Pegasus Next Week', Says CJI NV Ramana
Following the Pegasus snooping row case, an inquiry committee will be set up by the Supreme Court, said CJI NV Ramana on September 23. "We wanted to pass an order on the matter before this week. Justice NV Ramana To Join Office As CJI Bobde's Successor Ahead Of Retirement
Observing the seniority rule, CJI SA Bobde, ahead of his retirement on April 23 recommended Justice N.V. Ramana as his successor.
