In view of the COVID-19 surge, Tamil Nadu's Higher Education Minister K Ponmudy on January 21, said, from February 1 to February 20, all the exams in colleges will be conducted online. The decision over the opening of colleges will be taken after February 20. "The exams for the final semester (after June) will be held physically," said Ponmudy. Meanwhile, vaccination drive for school students aged between 15-18 is underway.
