Banned Bike Taxis To Run On Delhi Roads Soon Again: Kailash Gahlot

In a relief to bike taxis, the Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said that the law department has cleared the aggregator policy, which will help bike taxis like Ola, Uber moto and Rapido to ply on roads again. Recently, bike taxi services were stopped in Delhi, resulting in massive protests and unemployment to bike taxi drivers. Adopted in couple of months, new policy will allow electric bikes in Delhi.

Delhi Govt Grants Electric Vehicle Subsidies Worth Rs 100 Crore: Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot stated providing discounts to buyers of electric vehicles beyond a certain point is not "very healthy," on August 22. He also stated that the government has set an aim of one charging point every three kilometers. Under its Electric Vehicle Policy, which was established in 2020, Delhi government has already granted incentives of about Rs 100 crore on electric vehicles, the most of any state.

Electric 2-Wheelers Save Rs 22,000/Year: Delhi Minister Kailash Gehlot

Kickstarting the first week of the ‘Switch Delhi’ campaign, Minister Kailash Gahlot tweeted that using electric two-wheelers helps in financial and environmental benefits. Kailash said adopting to EVs can help people save up to Rs 22,000/annum compared to conventional vehicles.
