Kalashnikov Eyeing To Manufacture AK-203 Rifles in India
To expand its production units, Russian arms manufacturer Kalashnikov is eyeing to manufacture AK-203 rifles in India. In over a decade, it is expecting to produce 6,70,000 AK-203 rifles with the Indian Defence Ministry. Interestingly, the move comes after the EU and the US cancelled weapon deals with Kalashnikov over Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014. Currently, Kalashnikov produces up to 95 % of Russia's small arms.
