US Vice President Kamala Harris has more income than US President Joe Biden from book royalties, said a White House source, disclosing their financial books. The US President earned between $2,500 and $5,000 in book royalties in 2022, down sharply from $30,000 a year earlier. He also earned less than $3,000 in "speaking and writing engagements," down from close to $30,000 last year, confirmed the White House source.

North Korea has fired two short-ranged ballistic missiles ahead of US Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to South Korea, on September 28. The news was confirmed by South Korea’s military and Japanese officials. According to South Korean military, the missiles were fired from the Sunan area in Pyongyang. Reportedly, the missiles flew “around 360 kms at the speed of Mach 6, at an altitude of 30 kms”.

US Vice-President Kamala Harris, who has had four doses of Covid vaccination, has tested positive for Covid-19. The VP isolated herself after testing positive on both, an RT-PCR test and a rapid antigen test. Harris would return to the White House only once she tests negative. President Joe Biden had come earlier under heavy criticism for wrongly claiming that vaccinated people don't catch Covid-19.

Rajya Sabha Member Ramdas Athawale said if Kamala Harris could become the US Vice-President, then Sonia Gandhi could have also become PM of India after the 2004 elections. Ramdas added that Sonia was unwilling to hold the position, but instead of appointing Manmohan Singh for the post, she should have appointed Sharad Pawar. Further, he stated if Pawar was the PM, then the position of Congress would have been strengthened. 

PM Modi to visit the US with a packed schedule holding back-to-back high-level meetings on September 22. Modi will meet the top US CEOs, including Apple Chief Tim Cook. He will also be holding a meeting with QUAD nation members and bilaterally with President Biden. PM Modi is expected to meet Indian-origin US Vice President Kamala Harris. Moreover, he will be addressing United Nations General Assembly on September 24.
