Discus throw champion Kamalpreet Kaur bags sixth position in Women's Discus Throw Finals with the best throw of 63.70m at the Tokyo Olympics. Reportedly, it was "her third attempt, but the 25-year-old athlete failed to make the top three as two of her remaining three attempts were disqualified". Meanwhile, the 26-year-old 2018 National Champion Vallarie Allman bagged herself a gold in Discus at the Olympics.

Kamalpreet Kaur, the 23-year-old Indian national record holder qualifies for the Women's Discus Throw at the Tokyo Olympics. Her outstanding throw of 64.00m has brought her close to win a medal. However, former national record holder Seema Sunia could not enter the finals as she finished 16th with 60.57m. The final is scheduled for Monday, August 2nd.
