Rohit Sharma Overcomes Kane Williamson To Become Visiting Batsman With Most ODI Runs Scored In England

India skipper Rohit Sharma has overtaken New Zealand captain Kane Williamson to become the highest ODI run-scorer as a visiting batsman in England on July 12. Rohit currently has 1411 runs in 25 innings, surpassing Williamson's previous best of 1393 runs in 23 innings. Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan also carved their names in history by becoming only the fourth opening partnership in ODI history to reach 5000 runs together.

New Zealand Skipper Williamson Tests Positive For Covid-19

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson reported being positive for Covid-19, after he took the RTP-PCR test, after feeling Coronavirus symptoms.  Due to this, Williamson will miss the second Test against England starting at Trent Bridge on June 10. Furthermore, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) tweeted that Coach Gary Stead confirmed Williamson is positive, and will now be replaced by Hamish Rutherford in the squad.

ICC's New World Test Rules:12 Points For Win, 4 For Draw, 6 For Tie

ICC has announced a new rule system for the second edition of the World Test Championship (WTC). The edition will ensure a standardized points system for every match. Teams will be awarded 12 points for a win, 6 points for a tie, and 4 points for a draw. Standings will be determined by the percentage of points. The WTC is scheduled to run from August 2021 to March 2023.

Warner's Poor Form Continues; SRH Names Kane Williamson As New Captain

Sunrisers Hyderabad management on May 1 removed its captain David Warner and gave the captainship to New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson for the remaining tournament. Reportedly, the southpaw Australian opener was not performing well as SRH lost five of the six games played at IPL2021. The franchise also pointed of changing the overseas combinations in the upcoming match against Rajasthan Royals on May 2.
