Kangana Ranaut on June 6 called Mirzapur-famed actor Vikrant Massey a "cockroach" after the latter compared Yami Gautam's wedding look to Radhe Maa. The exchange of words occurred on Yami's Instagram post where Massey wrote, "Pure and pios like Radhe Maa", to which Kangana replied, "Kahan se nikla ye cockroach... lao meri chappal". Besides, she even praised Yami's look as they both hail from Himachal Pradesh.

Some media reports have claimed that actor Kangana Ranaut's personal bodyguard Kumar Hegde has been booked for allegedly raping his fiancee. However, the accused's identity is disputed as the Mumbai Police claims to be unaware of Hegde's profession and the actor is yet to respond. India's microblogging app Koo has invited Kangana Ranaut to the platform to express her opinions with "sense of pride" after the actress' Twitter account was suspended on May 4. With the invitation, the app shared Kangana's earlier note where she had said, "bhade ka ghar bhade ka hota hai, apna ghar kaisa bhi ho apna hota hai", referring to the indigenous Koo.
