The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team conducted a raid in Hyderabad's hotel and detained a man, who allegedly have links with accused Riyaz Akhtar and Ghouse Mohammad, in Udaipur Murder. On July 5, the NIA team detained the man, hailing from Bihar and took him to Madhapur headquarters, for interrogating his links with the two accused, who brutally murdered Kanhaiya Lal, a tailor from Udaipur. 

Udaipur tailore killing revealed the negligence shown by the City Police, which resulted in the death of Kanhaiya Lal (48). After constant criticism for a careless attitude of the Udaipur police, and not providing security to Kanhaiya, despite his FIR, the Rajasthan Police transferred and suspended as many as 39 IPS level cops, including Inspector-General and Superintendent of Udaipur Police. The wife of Kanhaiya Lal, who was killed brutally in Udaipur, Rajasthan, demanded the death penalty for her husband's murderer. The killing of a tailor in Udaipur has created a national ruckus, with political parties and leaders coming in support of the family.  Notably, Kanhaiya, who supported suspended BJP MP Nupur Sharma, was getting threats and was murdered by two unidentified people. He even wrote to police, demanding security.

After the brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal, a tailor in Rajasthan's Udaipur, his mortal remains has reached his native place, on June 29. Hundreds of people took part in his funeral. Reportedly, Kanhaiya Lal asked for police protection, stating that his life was in danger, and had also shut his shop for 4-5 days. The murder occured in broad daylight, and two people beheaded him. A probe is underway.
