IndiGo Flight Delhi-Doha Diverted To Karachi Amid Medical Emergency
An IndiGo flight diverted to Karachi after a medical emergency was reported onboard. On March 13, an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Doha suddenly had to divert after a passenger Abdullah, a 60-year-old Nigerian national fell ill. Despite attempts to save him, the passenger died on board, confirmed the flight service. The flight was halted at Karachi airport for nearly five hours, and returned to Delhi.

Chinese National Killed In Pakistan’s Karachi
In Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi, a Chinese-Pakistani dual national was killed, informed police on September 29. Reportedly, the attacker was disguised as a dental patient at a clinic. The attacker also injured two others during his attack. Reportedly, no “name” has claimed responsibility. Notably, Baloch-based militants have had the Chinese nationals targeted, with an increase in number of cases currently.

IndiGo Sharjah-Hyderabad Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing In Karachi Airport Due To Technical Glitch
IndiGo aircraft from Sharjah to Hyderabad was redirected to Pakistan's Karachi airport after the pilot claimed technical fault. IndiGo stated that another flight will be dispatched to Karachi to transport passengers to Hyderabad. This is the second time in two weeks that an Indian airline has made an emergency landing in Karachi. Previously, on July 5, a SpiceJet flight from New Delhi to Dubai had to undergo an emergency landing.

Vienna Named 'World's Most Liveable City', Pakistan's Karachi Ranked 'Least'
Austria's city of Vienna has been named as the "most liveable city" in the world. The report titled "Global Liveability Index 2022" by Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has not included Ukrainian city of Kyiv, due to the ongoing Russian invasion. Russian city's like Moscow and St Petersburg fell in the rankings due to western sanctions. Meanwhile, Auckland has been pushed to the 34th spot due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Woman Gang Raped In Moving Train, 5 Arrested: Pakistan
In Pakistan's Karachi, an incident of gang rape of a woman (25) in a moving train was reported. Five staff of Bahaudin Zakira Express allegedly raped and filmed the incident to blackmail the victim confirmed police in its report submitted to the Judicial Magistrate (South) Shahnawaz, on June 12. Popular Politician, TV Host Aamir Liaquat Found Dead In Karachi
Prominent TV host and politician Aamir Liaquat was found dead the unconscious at his residence, in Karachi, Pakistan, on June 9. The 50-year-old was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead. The body has been sent for postmortem and reports are awaited. Highlighting Liaquat's career, was questionable after he was banned from television for his hate speech. The case is under investigation.

Hindu Temple Vandalised In Pakistan's Karachi, Idols Of Deities Attacked
In Pakistan's Karachi, Shri Mata Mandir situated in Korangi area was vandalised and the idols of deities were attacked, on June 9. The attack created a panic across the hindus living in Karachi, particularly in the Korangi area. Reportedly, five to six masked men came in motorcycles, carried out the attack and fled the spot. A case has been lodged and further details are awaited.

Bomb Goes Off Inside Karachi University Killing 3 Chinese Nationals & 1 Pakistani
In a tragic Incident, at least four persons including three Chinese nationals and their Pakistani driver were killed in a bomb blast, on April 26. The incident occurred inside the premises of University of Karachi, at around 1:52 pm. The CCTV footage shows a suspected person in burqa approaching the van moments before the blast, who is believed to have been the suicide bomber.

Pakistan's Karachi Runs Out Of Burial Spots; People Pay Exorbitant Rates
Pakistan's Karachi has officially ran out of burial spots, as people started paying exorbitant rates to put their loved ones to rest, reported ANI. The government prescribed amount is Rs 7,900. However, two persons reported paying Rs 55,000 and Rs 1,75,000 to give their loved ones a burial. Reportedly, old graves now have to be destroyed to make way for new burials, said digger Khalil Ahmed.

Explosion Kills 12 & Leaves Several Injured In Karachi: Pakistan
About twelve people died and many were left injured in an explosion in Pakistan, on December 18. Local media sources said, massive blast happened in Shershah area of Karachi. In addition, the concerned authority rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. The reason of the sudden blast is yet to be ascertained, but sources suggest it could have been caused due to a gas leakage.
