Bollywood movie 'Sooryavanshi' starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will hit the big screens on April 30. Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie was earlier slated for release on March 24, 2020 but got postponed for almost a year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Taking to Twitter on March 14, Akshay and the movie makers shared their excitement and a short video to announce the release date.

Karan Johar has announced that S.S.Rajamouli's blockbuster Baahubali series will be re-releasing in cinemas. Karan Johar's Dharma Productions will produce a sitcom titled 'Jug Jug Jiyo' starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani. The movie will be directed by 'Good Newwz' fame Raj Mehta. The multi-star movie will be a story of two couples with a generation gap. Reportedly, Varun will be portraying the role of an NRI in the movie. The film will be shot in Chandigarh, Mumbai and abroad.

Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut, in a tweet on September 1, alleged Karan Johar the main culprit of Bollywood mafia and tagged PM Narendra Modi, seeking action against him. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl has been facing severe backlash due to an alleged inappropriate portrayal of the Indian Air Force. Retired Wing Commander I.K. Khanna, who was one of the instructors in the first batch of women pilots, considers the film to be inaccurate.
