Karnataka HC Warns Meta Owned Facebook
The Karnataka HC warned Facebook that it may take measures to shut down the social media giant’s operations in India. The warning issued on June 15, came amid Facebook's alleged non-compliance with local law enforcement during an investigation into the case of an Indian citizen who is currently imprisoned in Saudi Arabia. A bench of justice Krishna S Dixit issued the warning on a petition filed by Karnataka resident Kavitha.

SC Dismisses CBI Plea Against Karnataka HC In Bengaluru Raid Case
The Supreme Court (SC) bench headed by CJI NV Ramana rejected the CBI plea, challenging Karnataka HC's judgment. Notably, recently, the Karnataka HC directed the CBI to release the seized money during a raid at the premises of Congress leader DK Shivakumar's close associate Sachin Narayan. The Karnataka HC said, there is no evidence to show that money seized has any connection with the illegal crime.

Karnataka Hijab Row Verdict To Be Pronounced On March 15
The Karnataka HC is all set to pronounce its judgement on the controversial Hijab row issue, on March 15. The matter started in January, condemning the orders of Udupi Pre University, which banned entry with hijab or religious attire, besides uniform. The matter was taken to the HC, which is to announce the verdict. Until now, the court issued interim order, restricting students from wearing hijab until matter resolves.

One Day Hijab Clad Woman Will Become PM: Asaduddin Owaisi
The Hijab-row of Karnataka intensified and became a political issue in India. The AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi lashed out and said, "One day Hijab clab woman will become the PM of India". Karnataka HC Gives Nod To Cut Down 577 Trees As Part Of Phase 2A Of Metro Project
The Karnataka Division bench approved the plea of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRC), to cut down 577 trees, relocate 212 trees and retain 44 trees. The BMRC had filed a petition in the court, seeking approval to cut trees located at different stretches of Phase 2A of the metro project. The BMRC forwarded a report of the Technical Expert Committee (TEC), which recommended to cut and relocate trees.
