Hijab Ban At Educational Institutions Will Remain In Place, Says Education Minister
In the latest development of the Karnataka Hijab Row, the Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh said, they will continue with the Hijab ban until the Supreme Court verdict. Karnataka Hijab Row Plea To Be Reviewed After Holi: Supreme Court
Supreme Court confirmed to review Karnataka Hijab Row plea, challenging the HC verdict, after Holi vacations. Earlier, the HC had dismissed petitions against 'Hijab ban', upholding the decision. On March 16, the Apex Court accepted the plea against the verdict. Meanwhile, the BJP led Karnataka Government announced to reopen schools and colleges from March 17, with the imposition of section 144 till March 21.
