Karnataka Accident, 1 Killed And 4 Injured After School Bus Rammed

In Karnataka, a speeding private bus rammed into a group of students waiting to board it under a tree. Happened on September 7, a girl died, whereas four were left seriously injured in Sitapura Kaval Duglapura Gate near Tarikere town Chikkamagaluru district. The deceased girl was identified as 14-year-old Tulasi, a Class 8 student. Meanwhile, other injured are being treated at a hospital. A case is registered for further investigation.

Karnataka: 17 Year Old Commits Suicide Over Pocket Money Refusal

In shocking news, a 17-year-old teenager committed suicide over pocket money, in Mangalore, Karnataka. Getting into the details, Sushanth (17) was upset as he asked for Rs 500 on his first day of college, but was denied by his parents.  Dejected, Sushanth decided to stay back at home, and when his parents weren't around, hanged himself to death. The incident occurred on August 3, and a police case was registered.

Karnataka: Angry Over Love Affair, Father Kills Daughter, Lover Commits Suicide

In a shocking incident, a Karnataka Man killed his daughter, for allegedly being in love with a Dalit man. The incident occurred in the Kolar district, in Karnataka when Krishna Murthy (46) murdered his daughter Keerthi. Upon hearing the death of Keerthy, her lover 24-year-old Gangadhar allegedly committed suicide. Furthermore, the police registered a case and arrested the accused Murthy. In addition, an investigation has been launched.

Hubballi Airport Terminal Expansion In Karnataka Receives Government Approval

The Hubballi Airport project will kick off in January and the expanded terminal is expected to be operational within the next two years. The new terminal will cover an area of 20,000 square metres and will be able to accommodate up to 1400 passengers during peak hours. Minister Joshi thanked PM Narendra Modi and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for sanctioning Rs 273 crore for the expansion, enhancing people' experience.

Karnataka Proposes Dedicated Education Commission To Implement NEP 2020

The Karnataka government has nodded to the creation of Karnataka Education Commission (KEC) for implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the next 10 years. The recommendation for establishing the commission was given by a task force led by former chief secretary SV Ranganath. With this development, Karnataka became the first state to chalk out a roadmap for NEP. The commission will be headed by the CM.
