Karti Chidambaram Appears Before CBI For Investigation In Chinese Visa Scam
Former minister and Congress leader Karti Chidambaram is being grilled in the Chinese Visa Scam case, for the second consecutive day, on May 27. The CBI called Chidambaram for interrogation in 2011 matter, where Karti allegedly issued visas to 263 Chinese nationals illegally and took bribe of Rs 50 lakhs. Visa Scam: Court Asks Congress MP Karti Chidambaram To Join Investigation
Congress MP Karti Chidambaram has been directed to join the investigation by a special court, upon his arrival to India, in the ongoing "visa scam". Karti is scheduled to arrive India on May 24. Furthermore, the court directed CBI to issue a notice three working days in advance, if Karti needs to be arrested. Advocate Kapil Sibal stated, there's no prima facie evidence that Karti is involved in the matter.

War Of Words; Congress Leaders Comments On EVM Hack
Congress MP Karti Chidambaram condemned his fellow party member Udit Raj for his comments on EVM hack. Udit Raj questioned if space ships can be operated from the ground, why can not EVM be hacked. Karti responded that the EVMs are robust and added, "Whatever be the outcome of any election, it's time to stop blaming the EVMs. Reportedly, Congress' alliance is trailing in most of the seats in Bihar.
