The killing of Kashmiri teacher by terrorists in J&K's Kulgam, has resulted in mass agitation among Kashmiri pandits. Kashmiri pandits staged a protest in Srinagar, warning of a "mass relocation" if the government fails to offer a solution for terrorism in the state, especially against Kashmiri pandits. The protestors declared that the protests will continue for the next 24 hours, till a solution is offered.

Large protests took place across Jammu and Kashmir on May 12 as Kashmiri Pandits sought protection following the assassination of a 36-year-old member of the community.
