Experts have called for a strict surveillance amid the rising number of H1N1 virus cases, also known as Swine Flu. At least 57 new cases of Swine Flu has been reported in the country in the last two months. This has come when the nation is battling the fourth wave of COVID-19. Public health officials have warned of a 'Twindemic' in Nepal, owing to rising Swine Flu and COVID cases.

In Nepal's Kathmandu, as many as 35 persons including a Chinese national have been arrested for allegedly running a fake a call centre in Tinkune. The accused are being suspected for carrying out illegal activities and transactions. The police also confiscated laptops, computers and other documents from the office. Reportedly, the call centre is being operated since two years, and over 2,000 persons are employed.

Actor Anupam is winning the hearts of people on social media for promising a beggar girl to fulfill her dream by sending her to school in Nepal. Anupum met the girl, Aarti, outside a temple in Kathmandu. He promised to teach her after listening to Aarti's fluent english that astonished him. The actor also shared her video. However, she's originally from India's Rajasthan. She learned English while begging. 

Demanding to revoke the dissolution of parliament, nearly 10,000 Nepalese people protested on Kathmandu's streets on December 29. They termed the dissolution an unconstitutional step and gathered in front of PM KP Sharma Oli’s office despite COVID-19 restrictions.
