No Photography, Videography Allowed At Kedarnath Temple
Kedarnath Temple Committee announced a ban on videography, photography and the use of phones on the premises of the temple. The violators would face legal action, said the temple authority. The ban came days after a YouTuber and influencer proposed to her boyfriend at the Kedarnath Temple premises. The reel and video went viral on social media platforms gaining million of views, but became a matter of controversy.

Uttarakhand Govt To Form Committee For Investigation Of Gold Plating At Kedarnath Temple
The Uttarakhand Government has decided to set up a high-level committee, under the chairmanship of the Garhwal commissioner, to probe allegations of a Rs 1.25 billion scam in gold plating the sanctum sanctorum of the Kedarnath temple. The state's Tourism, Religion and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj said this on June 23. The Minister asked to have a technical expert as well as goldsmiths in the inquiry committee for investigation.

Doors Of Badrinath Temple Opens With Adherence To COVID Protocols
The doors of Badrinath Temple opened on May 8, with flowers, light decorations, and the joy of devotees. The doors opened days after Kedarnath Temple, which opened on May 6. The annual Chardham Yatra began on May 3. According to the Uttarakhand Government, 15,000 pilgrims are allowed daily at Badrinath temple, with a negative Covid-19 test report and vaccination certificate. Notably, the Char Dham Yatra started on May 3, 2022.

Kedarnath Temple To Open Soon For Devotees
The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open for devotees at 6:55 am, on May 6, 2022. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, the Badri-Kedar temple committee conducted a meeting at Omkareshwar temple and decided the date & time to reopen Lord Shiva's Kedarnath temple. Moreover, the idol will be taken to Kedarnath Dham from Omkareshwar Temple on May 2. Notably, Lord Kedarnath is worshipped in Kedarnath Dham during summers.

The Gates Of Kedarnath Temple Closed For Winter Season
The gates of the Kedarnath temple were closed for the winter season on November 6. Ahead of the closing of portals, priest Baghesh Ling performed the rituals at 8 AM, reported PTI. The five-face idol of Baba Kedar was now shifted to the Omakareshwar temple at Ukhimath for worship during the season. Reportedly, over 2.4 lakh pilgrims visited the shrine since the Chardham Yatra began in September.

Priests On Hunger Strike, Pleas To Dissolve Char Dham Devasthanam: Uttarakhand
