An RSS worker's death in Kerala's Palakkad region, BJP State Chief Secretary S Suresh demanded ban on SDPI in the State. He said, the law & order in Kerala is worst, and even police are inefficient to tackle the situation. Suresh said, SDPI anti-national terrorist are enemy of Kerala people and humanity and are growing in the State, with the support of the LDF and UDF Government.

Kerala Revenue Department Intends To Establish National Housing Park
The Kerala government of Revenue Department has proposed to establish a National Housing Park, the first such project in India which will showcase housing plans. However, it will be located on six acres of land costing Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh for the tourist attraction. "Kerala Revenue Department plans to implement National housing Park for the first time in India," tweeted the Kerala Government.

CBSE Retains Admission Eligibility Criteria For Class 1 Students
The Kerala CBSE School Management announced that the minimum age for class one admission in all CBSE schools for the academic year 2022-23 will be five years of age. However, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) had earlier announced six years for the same criteria, as per National Education Policy which led to protests, against the decision. Moreover, until the last academic year, it was five years.

Kerala Lifts Covid-19 Restrictions, Allows 100% Occupancy At Theatres & Bars
In view of declining Covid-19 cases in the state, the Kerala government on February 27, has decided to lift Covid-19 restrictions in the state. The government has decided to allow 100% occupancy in theatres, bars, hotels, and restaurants. Meanwhile, the government and private offices can hold offline meetings and training, the order stated. Notably, on February 25, Kerala reported 3,581 new Covid-19 cases.

No Hijab With Student Police Cadets Uniform, Says Kerala Government
The Kerala government has dismissed the plea of class eight student Riza Nahan for wearing hijab and full sleeves along with the uniform of Student Police Cadets. "Combining religious matters with uniforms in the present situation would raise the same demands in other similarly functioning forces," said the home department. The nodal officer of Student Police Cadets was also against this and pointed out the negative points of allowing it.

Kerala Omicron Cases Tally At 152, Reports 45 New Cases
Omicron cases increased to 152 in Kerala, with 45 fresh cases, on January 2. The Health Authority of Kerala said, of the new cases, nine came from high risk countries, 32 from low risk and four were affected by primary contact. "Till now total of 50 people have reached the state from high risk countries, while 84 from low risk countries, eighteen have contracted disease through their contacts," said Govt.

VP Venkaiah Naidu Arrives Kerala On 5-Day Visit
Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu, started his five-day journey to Kerala and Lakshadweep, on December 31. He arrived at Kochi airport and was welcomed by Kochi City Police Commissioner Nagarjuna, Ernakulam District Collector Jafar Malik, and others. Furthermore, he'll visit Lakshadweep on the same day and return to Kochi, on January 2, to attend various events. Venkaiah Naidu will leave Kochi on January 4 to Nagpur.

Kerala: Health Minister Warns On Confirmed Norovirus In Wayanad
Kerala Health Minister Veena George, on November 12, reported that we've found traces of Norovirus in the district of Wayanad. The virus is an animal bourne disease transmitted through contaminated water and food, with symptoms of nausea, vomiting, fever, and body aches, said reports. Reportedly, It's can be dangerous for young children. The government urged citizens to be vigilant and released preventive guidelines to contain the virus.
