Actor-Producer Vijay Baby Interrogated For 5th Consecutive Day In Sexual Assault Case: Kerala

In Kerala's Ernakulam, actor-producer Vijay Babu appeared in the South Police Station for the fifth consecutive day, cooperating to the interrogation in a case of sexual assault filed against him. The Kerala High Court had granted him anticipatory bail, asking him to cooperate with the probe officials. Babu was also asked to refrain from tampering with the probe, and have interactions over social media.

Swapna Suresh Files Anticipatory Bail Plea In Conspiracy Case: Kerala

Swapna Suresh has filed an anticipatory bail plea at Kerala High Court in a conspiracy case filed against her. The case was filed by MLA and former Minister KT Jaleel. Swapna Suresh, the prime accused in Kerala gold smuggling case, was booked on June 8, on Jaleel's complaint, seeking probe into the allegations she made against him. The case was filed under Section 153 and 120B of IPC.

Kerala HC Remarks Against Section 375, Says It's Not Gender-Neutral

The Kerala HC Judge Muhamed Mustaqe said all rapes should be considered as gender-neutral offenses and not just in the female victim-male accused scenario. Kerala HC Directs State Govt To Take Strict Action Against Fake Govt Boards & Flags On Vehicles

The Kerala High Court on May 20, directed the state government to take strict action against those who use illegal flags and government boards on their vehicles. Justice Anil K Narendran stated that such fittings should be removed. The court further stated that the Driving Licences of violators should be seized, and that such persons should be disqualified from driving.

Kerala HC Issues Notice To Bishop Franco In Nun Rape Case

The Kerala HC issued notice to Kerala Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who has been accused of rape. The court admitted the appeal of the State Government and victim, demanding to quash orders of the Session court, which acquitted Bishop in the rape charges. Notably, Bishop is accused of raping a nun several times between 2014-and 2016. A case was registered in 2018 after trials, on January 14, he was acquitted.

Kerala HC Allows Online Marriage For Lawyer Couple Amid Omicron Situation

The Kerala HC, permitted online marriage to a lawyer couple. Ritu Thomas and Anantha Harikumaran decided to get married on December 23, but due to Omicron, Harikumaran, could not come from the UK. Ritu, after completing marriage registration procedure, moved the HC asking to approve online marriage.
